The Strategy

Bloedow Strategies built a full precinct-level data operation for the Hoffman campaign in Snohomish — mapping all six city precincts in Google Earth, cross-referencing 2024 General Election results with 2021 mayoral history to identify exactly where the votes were and which voters needed a touch.

  • Overlaid precinct boundary maps in Google Earth with vote-by-vote bar charts comparing Governor, President, and Mayor results side-by-side in each precinct.
  • Built a four-tier voter segmentation model (Reliable Base · Easy Prospects · Less-Reliable Base · Tough Prospects) from Reichert, Trump, and Kartak vote histories to prioritize outreach efficiently.
  • Identified specific vote gaps precinct-by-precinct — e.g., Snohomish 4 needed 22 more votes; Snohomish 5 needed 49 — and built canvassing lists sized to close those gaps.
  • Sent 1,500+ targeted SMS messages to the highest-priority voter segments at decisive moments in the campaign cycle.
  • Delivered 10 data visualizations across Excel, Tableau, and Google Earth that the campaign team used throughout the entire election cycle.

LD32 Income Tax Poll

Voter Sentiment Analysis · Washington LD32

241Likely voters surveyed (effective sample ~229)
70%Of all voters oppose the Democrats' new state income tax
±6.5%Margin of error
77%Of swing voters oppose the tax
56%Of Democratic voters oppose their own party's tax

The Findings

A scientifically weighted survey conducted by the LD32 Republicans finds the Democrats’ newly signed state income tax facing overwhelming opposition across the political spectrum — with just 30% support and 70% opposed among likely voters.

  • Resistance is virtually unanimous among Republicans and especially strong among swing voters, nearly 4 in 5 of whom reject the tax.
  • Notably, a majority of Democratic voters — about 56% — oppose it, with particularly strong resistance among weak Democrats.
  • Voters across the spectrum view the tax as an unnecessary and poorly timed financial burden.
  • Results signal the income tax is likely to become a major political liability in the months ahead.
